Join us for a one night only fundraising event for Persephone Theatre with comedy and Corner Gas Legend, Brent Butt!⁠

Brent Butt is originally from Saskatchewan, growing up in the small farming community of Tisdale. The youngest of seven children, he started telling jokes at a young age and said he was going to be a stand-up comedian when he was 12. He went on to fulfil his dream, becoming a regular at Just For Laughs and having his own TV special, as well as booking guest spots in TV shows and movies, before going on to create the award-winning TV series, Corner Gas. Corner Gas, filmed entirely here in Saskatchewan, aired for six seasons, and featured one of Persephone Theatre’s founders, Janet Wright. Brent is also an author - his first novel, Huge, is a darkly funny psychological thriller and a #1 fiction bestseller in Canada.

Persephone Theatre is excited to have Brent Butt help us celebrate our 50th Anniversary Season and raise funds for the future with this one-night only comedy show, followed by a special talk back with Brent after the performance.
